Overview
Switchboard provides a unified platform for organizations to access, govern, and manage AI models from multiple providers. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices available to your organization and its users.
This policy applies to the Switchboard platform and the marketing website. It does not govern the practices of the underlying AI model providers your organization chooses to enable.
Information we collect
Account and organization data: names, work email addresses, role assignments, and department membership configured by your administrators.
Usage and billing data: prompts routed through the platform, model selections, token counts, and associated costs, used to power dashboards, budgets, and invoicing.
Operational data: logs, device and browser metadata, and security events needed to operate and secure the service.
How we use information
To operate the platform: routing requests, enforcing your governance policies, and presenting spend and usage analytics.
To administer billing: calculating per-seat fees and passing through token costs at provider rates.
To secure and improve the service: detecting abuse, troubleshooting, and maintaining reliability. We do not use your prompts or content to train models.
Model providers and data routing
When a request is routed to a model provider, the content of that request is transmitted to the selected provider under their terms and data-handling commitments. Your administrators control which providers and models are enabled, and can block any model that does not meet your requirements.
Switchboard surfaces each model's data residency, retention, training practices, and certifications so your organization can make informed governance decisions.
Data retention
We retain account, usage, and billing data for as long as your organization maintains an active agreement, and as required for legal, accounting, and audit purposes. Retention of prompt content can be configured by your administrators.
Your choices and rights
Administrators can manage users, configure retention, export usage data, and request deletion of organization data. Individuals should direct privacy requests to their organization's administrator, who acts as the data controller.
